God’s love for me motivates me to love and serve others.  Living a life of faith means expressing that faith in thought, word, and action.

With God’s help, I will uphold these professional standards:

*Your child will be welcomed daily to a safe, loving environment with an atmosphere that is conducive to learning.

*I will respect and uphold the teachings of the eighth commandment.   God demands that I respect the reputation of my students, their parents, and of my coworkers.

*I will share confidential information ONLY when asked to for professional purposes or out of necessity for lawful reasons.

*I will provide an environment that provides opportunities for ALL students.

*I will teach all subjects truthfully and entirely as directed by my call.

It is by divine call that I am privileged to be at Bethany Lutheran School.  Thanks be to God for this opportunity.

Code of Ethics

"I am the vine, you are the branches..." (John 15:5)

Jesus, the perfect teacher, used these words and this picture to help his students understand the importance to stay grounded in Scripture.  My life, my faith, and my teaching philosophy have its foundation in Scripture.  I am but a mere servant here on Earth to do the all-important job of ‘making disciples of all nations” (Matthew 18:19).

The Lord has given us all, teachers and students alike, differing abilities on how to learn the content presented to us in school.  The students and I will plan a successful school year through on-going communication of their needs as learners.  I see every child as a unique ambassador in God’s kingdom.

We will daily challenge each other to solve problems, recall prior knowledge, analyze strategies, build lasting friendships in Christ, and create a positive, meaningful learning environment.  We will be an actively engaging community of learners using hands-on learning, cooperative learning, small group work, as well as independent work.  The students and I will work to together like branches from the Vine.
